In the City Section baseball matches, Animo De La Hoya took control against CALS Early College with a solid 7 to 2 victory. Lakeview Charter had an amazing outing as they crushed Discovery, scoring an impressive 13 to 1. And let’s not forget Rise Kohyang, who demonstrated pure dominance, winning by a staggering 17 to 4 against CNDLC.
The Southern Section was buzzing with intense competition. Alhambra brought their best, narrowly defeating Bell Gardens 6 to 4. Anaheim Canyon edged out El Modena in a nail-biter, ending with a score of 5 to 4. Things were no less interesting for Animo Leadership, as they showcased their strength with a decisive victory over Animo City of Champions, winning 16 to 4.
Apple Valley had a close encounter with Ridgecrest Burroughs, fighting hard for a 5 to 4 win. Artesia left their mark with an 8 to 2 triumph against Magnolia, while Baldwin Park kept it tight against Nogales, clinching the game with a 2 to 1 win. Beverly Hills stepped up to the plate with a stunning home game performance, shutting out Hawthorne 7 to 0.
It wasn’t all one-sided, as teams like Burbank and Burbank Burroughs lit up the scoreboard with solid wins against de Toledo and Muir, respectively. With so many competitive clashes, the atmosphere was electric, as everyone is gearing up for a thrilling season ahead.
The City Section softball games didn’t hold back either! Rise Kohyang steamrolled over Animo De La Hoya with a jaw-dropping score of 25 to 2. Smidt Tech put on a show as they battled CNDLC, coming out on top with a score of 14 to 7.
In the Southern Section, Agoura blew past Newbury Park with a staggering victory of 18 to 1. Alhambra managed to keep things lively with an intriguing tie against Montebello at 7-7. Anaheim Canyon pulled off a close victory, sneaking by Cypress with a 4 to 3 scoreline.
And the scoring didn’t stop there! Artesia made their mark against Westminster, winning big at 17 to 1. Bellflower went all out, winning by an impressive 23 to 0 against Dominguez, while Bishop Amat sealed the game with a nail-biting 6 to 5 victory over St. Paul.
