New senior living developments are creating vibrant communities nationwide.
New senior living communities are being established in various U.S. locations including Overland Park, Hayward, Wentzville, and West Chester. These developments aim to provide supportive and vibrant living environments tailored to the needs of seniors. From the Tallgrass Creek campus in Kansas to the Bellara community in California, and specialized memory care in Pennsylvania, these projects reflect a commitment to enhancing quality of life for older adults.
In the heart of Overland Park, Kansas, construction is buzzing at the Tallgrass Creek Senior Living campus. Two well-established partners, Brinkmann Constructors and Erickson Senior Living, have kicked off the building of a delightful new residential structure. This will be the fifth building in Tallgrass Creek’s second neighborhood, showcasing the community’s growth and aspirations.
When it comes to the new structure, it’ll pack quite a punch with 89 units. These homes are being constructed using wood framing that rests over a podium deck, complete with below-grade parking for the convenience of future residents. Talented design experts at Lantz-Boggio Architects are bringing their magic to the project, ensuring that this new addition fits seamlessly into the vibrant Tallgrass Creek community.
Meanwhile, over on the sunny West Coast, Hayward, California is buzzing with the excitement surrounding the grand opening of Bellara Senior Living. Nestled in downtown Hayward, this fantastic five-story community spans a massive 191,842 square feet and comes with 157 residences, offering everything from independent living to memory care.
Scheduled to officially open its doors on April 10, Bellara is making waves with stylish layouts, including cozy studio apartments and spacious two-bedroom units. This development is not just about the living spaces; it complements Hayward’s downtown plan that aims to create a more walkable and lively urban area.
The on-site amenities add that extra special touch, including a delightful bistro, a restaurant-style dining area for enjoyable meals, a fitness center for staying active, and a theater for movie nights. Residents will also appreciate the warmth of the design, featuring mid-century modern touches and splendid natural textures. Not to mention, the 15,000 square-foot courtyard, which is truly the cherry on top! It boasts a bocce court, fire pit, pergola, and a calming Zen garden for those who prize outdoor relaxation.
Transitioning to Wentzville, Missouri, Cedarhurst Senior Living has unveiled its newest gem, Cedarhurst of Wentzville. This community emphasizes inclusivity, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care options. With 65 independent living units, 47 assisted living units, and 21 memory care apartments, Cedarhurst is set to cater to a variety of lifestyle needs.
The array of amenities here will have residents excited, featuring a movie theater for cinematic adventures, beautifully landscaped courtyards for leisurely strolls, and even a pickleball court for those wanting to stay fit and active.
Last but certainly not least, West Chester, Pennsylvania is celebrating the arrival of the Goshen Memory Care residences at Barclay Friends, part of Kendal Corp. The need for quality dementia care continues to grow, and this new addition consists of 24 specialized apartments designed to cater specifically to that demand.
This state-of-the-art memory care facility came into being with a price tag of $3.3 million, with funding sourced through a combination of reserves and a capital campaign. This initiative signifies a commitment to enhancing care for individuals living with dementia in the West Chester area, providing invaluable support for families.
With these remarkable new senior living developments popping up throughout different regions, it’s clear that there’s a passionate commitment to creating warm, vibrant, and supportive communities tailored for seniors. Whether it’s in Kansas, California, Missouri, or Pennsylvania, each of these developments is not just a place to live, but a place to thrive!
