In Los Angeles, California, Cedars-Sinai Medical Institution is a nonprofit, tertiary, 886-bed hospital and multispecialty academic health science center. Based on an interdisciplinary partnership between physicians and clinical researchers, Cedars-Sinai focuses on biomedical research and technologically sophisticated medical education. More than 500 clinical trials and 900 research projects are currently underway at Cedars-academic Sinai’s enterprise, which includes research centers in cardiovascular, genetics, gene therapy, gastroenterology, neuroscience, immunology, surgery, organ transplantation, stem cells, biomedical imaging, and cancer (led by 230 principal investigators).

Cedars-Sinai University’s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences provides a PhD program in biomedical sciences as well as master’s degrees in magnetic resonance in medicine and health delivery science.

Cedars-trauma-related Sinai’s services, which range from prevention through rehabilitation and are delivered in collaboration with the hospital’s Department of Surgery, are certified as a level I trauma center for adults and children.
